Hotel La Siesta is located in the south section of Mazatlan on Olas Altas bay within the historical downtown.

The historical center is where all art and cultural activities take place in Mazatlan, and it hosts (offers) a variaty of restaurants and bars with sidewalk tables, archeological and art museums and Angela Peralta Theater (country heritage). Along the broadwalk on Olas Altas beach you will find a saltwater swimming pool (carpa olivera), not to mention several sculptures, a high diver show and an old fortification where locals defended the city against the french battleship "Le Cordelliere" in 1864.
